It premiered on November 4, As Casey's story continues to make national headlines, Father Tomas finds himself unexpectedly thrust into the public spotlight. They talk about Chris's book, The Devil in my Daughter. Regan remembers not being able to control her body and hearing a voice. Those are the only two things that she remembers about her possession. Regan is shocked at the idea that she could be remembered as "the demon girl".

We start on an old television show where young Regan and her mother are being interviewed about the whole Georgetown incident. I find it fascinating they did this, plot-wise, as the whole thing opens up a lot of great paths the show can take from here. Dig it wholeheartedly. She and Kat Brianne Howey try to do a little bonding, sort of, while Angela is decidedly unhappy about her mother showing up. Can he blame her? She was exorcised, she saw several people die — albeit while possessed — and went through a terrifying ordeal. Right now Henry wants to take his chances with the mother-in-law.

There was a fury of publicity regarding the disappearance of Casey, a racially-fuelled backlash to this publicity and even a wealthy conspiracy to awake demons. It was a crazy episode, indeed, and definitely worth the wait! What's your favourite scary movie Angela? I doubt it'd be The Exorcist. Chapter Six opened with a retro flashback to a teenage Reagan being interviewed about her past possession. The young girl is uncomfortable and awkward, whilst her mother revels in the attention.

How to Cut Cable

The episode opens with a recording of a morning talk show appearance by Regan and Chris after the experience in Georgetown the events of the original film , and we see that tensions between mother and daughter were high because of what they went through., Two very different men tackle a family's horrifying case of demonic possession. Casey's story goes public, causing a media frenzy for the Rance family and throwing Father Tomas into the spotlight.

Chapter Six: Star of the Morning

Can Marcus find Casey in time to save her soul, or is it already too late? It was a bold move tying The Exorcist television series into the larger narrative of the original film. The real test will be whether the show can continue to be high quality entertainment now when it has the burden of having Angie really be Regan MacNeil as an adult. So far things seem to work pretty well even with the arrival of her mother Chris outing her for who she really is. How can he trust her anymore with so much of their shared past, and the story of her personal history all just a fabrication?
