A cyclist rides past the Franklin Square fountain shortly after the conclusion of the Chinese Lantern Festival in June For five weeks, the park will be illuminated by handcrafted lanterns constructed by artisans from China. Dragons are popular imagery in Chinese culture and seeing such an imposing lantern is both beautiful and impressive. For , the dragon will be replaced with a foot phoenix.
