This project was made by me and my brother a few months ago and when a teacher of mine showed me instructables I thought that it was the perfect thing to publish. There are many reasons a teacher may ask her students to build a house for a school project. The lesson could focus on construction, using recycled materials to build, or it could be based on creating a house to represent a location in a story. No matter what the reason to build a house for a school project a simple one is a cardboard house, which you can build out of a couple cardboard boxes and some hot glue. Tape one end of a small cardboard box closed. Seal it as you would if you were going to fill it with things using packing tape. This will be the floor of your house.

The best part? My kids especially love making forts out of boxes, and it seems that for them, the smaller and cozier the better. While intended for my youngest, this easy-to-construct cardboard playhouse continues to entertain my older boys.
