Legs and limbs and lips All open with your fingertips You make holes in me And little slits You use as mouths For you to kiss Close my plastic eyelids You say this is the love we all hope to find So don't cry, don't worry You're supposed to bleed the first time The books, sad songs, and cinemas They all lied, lied, lied Why didn't anyone tell me Love is like being fucked with a knife? With the blade on a butterfly I'll make a hole in you I will kiss it and stick my tongue in it Hard enough for you To feel it in your stomach I'll fist it with knuckles full of rings Give you back the love you said was mine So don't cry, don't worry You're supposed to bleed the first time. The series achieved global notoriety mostly for the first two films as the producer needed to prove that nobody was actually hurt or murdered. The producer Hideshi Hino 's original concept was to create a film adaptation of his manga work. The tapes gained notoriety in Japan during the late s and early s when the fourth film of the series Devil Woman Doctor was found showcased in the 5, videotape collection of Japanese serial killer Tsutomu Miyazaki. It was erroneously reported originally as being the second film of the series. It was widely but mistakenly believed that Miyazaki re-enacted a scene from the second film as a part of his crimes.
The second video, Za ginipiggu 2: Chiniku no hana is said to be based on a snuff film sent to the director Hideshi Hino by a crazed fan. In it, a man dressed as a samurai drugs a woman and proceeds to cut her apart, and finally adds her body parts to an extensive collection. The snuff film rumour has been shown to be a contemporary legend; the film was in fact based on a manga about a florist who kills women and uses their dismembered parts as the seed of his beautiful flower arrangements. Most of this element of the story is cut out for the making of Guinea Pig due to the low budget and need of shock value. In fact, the actor playing the killer is the creator of the s manga from which the story is derived. This one is called Flower of Flesh and Blood. Now before you read too far, I must instill a disclaimer that this film is only for viewers of cinematic experience…..
For many critics and movie-lovers great filmmakers can be separated into one of two groups: Hollywood directors who make great, artful cinema for a popular audience despite commercial demands Coppola, Kubrick, Malick , and the art-house cinemaphiles whose best work neither appeals to a common sensibility nor tries to Deren, Anger, Vertov, David Lynch often. Hideshi Hino belongs to the latter group, but most of his colleagues would probably hesitate to count him among their ranks. Like Deodato, Hino was the subject of a police inquiry because his work was too violent and way too real to be the work of a sane man. When American and Japanese investigators watched his seminal psuedo-snuff masterpiece Guinea Pig 2: Flowers of Flesh and Blood they were convinced the on-screen violence was real. And you can hardly blame them: the movie itself purports to be an actual snuff film sent to Hino by a crazed fan.

An artist rescues a mermaid in a sewer; who develops bleeding sores all over her body, paints a portrait with her oozes and eventually disjoints her. After being dumped by his girlfriend for a friend, he attempts suicide - which turns up pain-free - and decides to scare the guy by literally throwing his own guts at him.
It also gained significant notoriety in the states back in when Charlie Sheen yes, the Charlie Sheen saw it, was convinced it was a real snuff film and reported it to the FBI. This story became the stuff of urban legend for years and Hino did become the subject of a police investigation because of his work. But despite what some persistent rumors claim, he never actually had to appear in court because of it and revealed years later in a Vice interview that the part about receiving an actual snuff film was a complete fabrication. So, notoriety aside, how does Flower of Flesh and Blood actually hold up as a film? It starts with an unidentified woman being chloroformed and kidnapped as she walks alone at night, later waking up tied to a table in a windowless room where torture implements lie about. It also achieves a level of graphic brutality that goes far beyond what most other films have the balls to portray and even thirty-two years later, the special effects still look amazingly real.
