The pages found here, as well as those throughout the NYU website, provide guidance for parents at the various stages of their student's engagement with the University. We invite you to explore the all the webpages, return as often as you like, and hope they prove helpful as your student moves through this important chapter in their life. Now is an exciting time as your student begins the next phase of their life as a college student at New York University. We know that the coming months will be filled with anxiety and excitement as you begin planning for those first days at NYU. We hope you will find these resources helpful as you prepare for those first days at NYU. We are pleased to welcome your family as part of NYU and look forward to sharing these next years together. Most communications to first year parents will begin in the summer -- so for Early Decision students, we know it may be a bit of waiting time.

Unlike a university whose campus is separated by gates or walls, NYU is very much in and of New York City and our residence halls are just another part of a busy metropolis with which we share the streets, sidewalks, parks, and trains. It's nearly impossible to tell where the city begins and the University ends!,
