High school, college and graduate students can get an up-close look at a career in the public sector this summer. For the high school internship, the DDC will pick 30 students from public and private high schools across the city to explore careers in engineering, construction, design, law, business administration, finance and architecture from the public sector perspective for six weeks. The college and graduate internship lasts 10 weeks. Some of the assignments for the high school internship could include computer aided design drafting for those interested in architecture or engineering, internet research, word processing and spreadsheets. Students in the college and graduate internships will work in either the infrastructure division, the program management division or the public buildings division of the DDC.
