Honeymoon New Discussion. August in Honeymoon. Has anyone ever been to either of these places? I'm down to deciding between either of these for our HM destination. Which island is more beautiful and safe?
We like quiet relaxing and nightlife is not important to us. We have been to grand cayman and rented a villa through vrbo and homeaway. It isn't to say that Aruba isn't beautiful - it is. It just depends on what you are looking for. Yes Aruba tends to be quite windy as it sits very near the equater.

I've been traveling to Aruba since and I want to know if someone could compare Turks to Aruba. Aruba has the high rise congested and low rise less congested areas and Grace Bay is more spread out with I think about 17 miles of beach with no high rises to speak of maybe Seven Stars. The shopping areas of Grace bay are set apart, and limited compared to Aruba. The beaches of Grace Bay are protected by a huge reef that keeps wave action limited and the water is more colorful shades of blue. The sand on Grace Bay is like powdered sugar, maybe like Cancun , not gritty. The height of the resorts if limited by law and you won't find the elbow to elbow foot traffic on Grace Bay. We haven't been to Grace Bay in the summer, but in the fall, the beaches are usually empty, although this year noticed more people.
